On the other hand, you have our version, the CSGORoll Arms Dealer, which players on CSGORoll have also started using as their own take on the format. What are the CS2 terminals?
Valve’s Arms Dealer, introduced through CS2’s Genesis Uplink Terminal, was supposed to feel like a cleaner alternative to cases. Instead of paying for a key and praying to the RNG gods, players could unseal a Terminal for free and receive direct skin offers from an in-game dealer. On paper, that sounds more transparent. You see the skin, you see the price, and then you decide whether to buy it or move on.
The problem is that the system still uses pressure. The dealer gives you up to five offers, but you cannot go back to an earlier one. If you reject everything, the Terminal disappears. Our Arms Dealer is heavily inspired by CS2’s Arms Dealer, and yet there are some striking differences. Yes, you have a dealer, a sequence of offers, and the temptation to push one step further, but we turn it into a proper game mode instead of pretending it is just a shop. It is built around risk and that temptation of “one more offer.”
The way it works is simple. You get to choose between five dealers: Nomad, Patch, Fuse, Ironhide, and The Impersonator. Each dealer has a different personality on paper, meaning different volatility, minimum offer, maximum offer, maximum multiplier, offer limit, and XP gain. Special events like Valentine’s and Halloween bring even more dealers for you to play around with, which you would otherwise have to buy through the shop. But the best part is that before the round even starts, you are already choosing what kind of experience you want.
After choosing the dealer, you select the amount you want to play with. Then the dealer shows you item offers one by one. These offers can be higher or lower than your original amount, and you do not know what the next offer will be. That is the whole essence of the mode. Do you take what is in front of you, or do you reject it and hope the next offer is better?
Once the round ends, we show you all the offers. This part is important because it gives the mode a proper ending. You can see if you made the right call, accepted too early, got greedy, or avoided an even worse outcome. It gives you that little “oh no, I should have taken the second one” moment, which is painful, but also exactly why the mode works.
