For their seventh edition of Civilization, Firaxis Games have created an entirely new feel. The game can be played across three distinct ages: the Antiquity Age, Exploration Age and Modern Age. And for players who lack the time to commit to all campaigns, the game allows you to choose and play a shorter campaign in one of those ages. Not only that, but, you'll also be able to mix and match history, changing the fundamentals of what the franchise is known for. It's definitely one on our radar in 2025!

The grandfather of FPS games, id Software, has brought the Doom IP back into the modern age following the masterpiece that was Doom Eternal back in 2020. It set an entirely new standard, and with the upcoming release of Doom: The Dark Ages, it seems like the studio isn't taking their foot off the gas. If the game trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for another hellish ride.

Ask any gamer what one title is the most anticipated, and they'll likely say GTA 6! Not only has it become a substantial meme, but it’s been 10+ years since the last entry. We still don’t have enough information on what the game may entail, other than the first look trailer. But from what we can tell, it's set in a fictional Florida, focusing on two runaway lovers trying to evade the law.

There are plenty more wildly anticipated games set to release this year, including Assassin's Creed Shadows, Atomfall and Monster Hunter Wilds.

All in all, 2025 is set to be a year full of spectacular sequels and brand new adventures, and we're here for it!
